Where words fail...

Music Speaks

Breakout solo recording artist Chris Fikes dropped his first album, No More Waiting , in May 2015, combining his traditional vocal style with an 80s rock vibe. Prior to releasing his own record, Fikes shared the stage with Rascal Flatts, Brian Kelley, Joe Diffie, and Daryl Worley. Originally from Texas, Fikes began playing guitar at the age of thirteen and by sixteen was writing his own songs. He attended McClennan Community College in Waco, Texas, where he learned the Nashville Number System and spent hours on stage under the mentorship of Richard “Dick” Gimble.

In 1995 Fikes enrolled at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Music Business and emphasis on Product Development. During his time in Nashville, Fikes played in the well-known Printer’s Alley district as well as legendary honkytonks Tootsie’s, Legends, The Stage, and the iconic Bluebird Cafe.

Fikes moved to Las Vegas in 2007, where he joined country music band Against The Grain as lead guitarist, background vocalist, and occasional fiddler, playing over 300 shows, all while teaching private guitar lessons to aspiring musicians.

In addition to promoting his own music, Fikes continues to lend his talent to shows across the country. His Electronic Press Kit has attracted nearly 400 views while his music has garnered more than 600 downloads and purchases combined. Chris Fikes’ music can be found on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
